Evaluation and Promotion Policies

Evaluation :

  • Evaluation criteria are according to CBSE’s examination bye laws.
  • There will be weekly tests, surprise tests, two periodic tests and Half yearly exam along with subject enrichment activities and multiple assessments like quiz, oral tests, group work, field-work, concept map, visual representations, etc. conducted in a year.
  • At the end of year there will be an Annual examination comprising of full syllabus for grade IX to XII Sci./Com., whereas from Grade I to VIII, evaluation will be carried out term wise.

Promotion Policy

  • Child must score minimum 33% marks in each examination of all subjects.
  • If child remains absent during examination, then the retest of such child will be conducted only on the grounds of :              

Genuine medical reason, if s/he provides the medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner within three days of illness.                     

OR

        The child is representing the school in District/ State/ National level competitions.

  • If child remains absent due to any personal reason then retest will not be conducted. Absence will be marked in the examination and average will be calculated accordingly (only for authorised leave).
  • If a child fails in any subject then s/he will be given an opportunity to appear for supplementary examination that s/he has to qualify to get promoted to the next class.
